IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT TAKE ANY PRESCRIBED OR OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATION THAT MAY CONTAIN ASPIRIN OR IBUPROFEN FOR 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE PROCEDURE. SUCH MEDICATIONS INCLUDE: ALKA SELTZER, ECOTRIN, ALLEVE, BUFFERIN, BAYER, ANACIN, ASCRIPTIN, MEDAPRIN, ADVIL, MOTRIN, NAPROSYN, FLEXORIL, AND VOLTRAN. IF YOU ARE PRESENTLY TAKING COUMADIN, TICLID, PLAVIX, LOVENOX, ELIQUS OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF BLOOD THINNER, PLEASE INFORM THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

Pre-procedure Instructions for Office Hemorrhoidal Ligations (Rubber Band Ligations)
1. Purchase one Fleet Enema (green box) from any drugstore.
2. Take the enema as directed on the box 2 hours before the scheduled time of your procedure.

Magnesium Citrate and Enema Prep Pre-operative Instructions for Rectal Surgical Procedures 1. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your procedure. Your operation may be canceled if you do. 2. Purchase one bottle of Magnesium Citrate and two of the Fleet Enemas (green box) from any drugstore. 3. Do not eat any solid food after 7PM the evening before your procedure. You may drink clear liquids up until midnight. At 7PM, drink the bottle of Magnesium Citrate. 4. Take one enema as directed on the box 5 hours before the scheduled time of your procedure 5. Take the second enema 3 hours before the scheduled time of your procedure.

SuPrep Bowel Prep
Pre-operative Instructions for Colonoscopy or Surgery
DAY BEFORE EXAMINATION
1. You may eat a light breakfast of regular food.
2. After breakfast, you may have only “clear liquids.” (Solid foods, milk or milk products are not
Allowed). Clear liquids include:
*Strained Fruit juices without pulp (Apple, White grape, Lemonade,ect)
*Water
*Clear broth or bouillon
*Coffee or tea (without milk or creamer)
*Gatorade
*Carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks
*Kool Aid (or other fruit flavored drinks)
*Plain Jello (without added fruits or toppings)
*Ice popsicles
AVOID DRINKS THAT ARE RED OR PURPLE IN COLOR
3. Starting at 6:00 PM, pour one 6-ounce bottle of the Suprep liquid into the 16-ounce mixing cup included in the kit. Add water to the 16-ounce fill line on the cup and mix well. Drink this entire glass of liquid.
4. Drink TWO 16 oz.glasses of water over the next one hour. Use the mix cup included in the Suprep kit and fill to the 16-ounce fill line with water to make sure you are getting the right amount of water.
DAY OF EXAMINATION
5. At 6:00 AM, take the second dose of the Suprep using the second bottle in the kit and follow Steps 3 & 4 above. You must drink TWO 16-ounce portions of water in the hour after you take the second dose of the Suprep liquid.
6. Starting 6 hours before your procedure, do not eat, drink, or take anything by mouth, including liquids, except for the SuPrep at 6 AM as described in Step 5, above.

MoviPrep
Pre-operative Instructions for Colonoscopy and Surgical Procedures
DAY BEFORE EXAMINATION
1. You may eat normally until 1:00 PM. Please avoid red meat, peanuts, popcorn, beets.
2. After 1:00 PM, you may have only “clear liquids.” (Solid foods, milk or milk products are not allowed). Clear liquids include:
*Strained Fruit juices without pulp (Apple, White grape, Lemonade,ect)
*Water
*Clear broth or bouillon
*Coffee or tea (without milk or creamer)
*Gatorade
*Carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks
*Kool Aid (or other fruit flavored drinks)
*Plain Jello (without added fruits or toppings)
*Ice popsicles
AVOID DRINKS THAT ARE RED OR PURPLE IN COLOR
3. Prepare the MoviPrep as instructed on the package, adding one Pouch A and one Pouch B into the provided container and filling with lukewarm drinking water to the top line. Mix well.
4. Starting at 6:00 PM, begin drinking the MoviPrep, finishing 8 fl. oz. (one mark on the container) every 15 minutes. Continue to drink the solution even once you start moving your bowels until it is finished. Drink 16 oz. of any clear liquid of your choice immediately after you finish the whole container of MoviPrep.
5. Prepare another container of MoviPrep as instructed on the package, adding one Pouch A and one Pouch B into the provided container and filling with lukewarm drinking water to the top line. Mix well.
6. Starting at 10:00 PM, begin drinking the MoviPrep, finishing 8 fl. oz. (one mark on the container) every 15 minutes. Continue to drink the solution even once you start moving your bowels until it is finished. Drink 16 oz. of any clear liquid of your choice immediately after you finish the whole container of MoviPrep.
DAY OF EXAMINATION
7. Starting 6 hours before your procedure, do not eat, drink, or take anything by mouth, including liquids.

4. Drink one 16 oz.glasses of water over the next 30 minutes. Use the mix cup included in the Plenvu kit and fill to the 16-ounce fill line with water to make sure you are getting the right amount of water.
DAY OF EXAMINATION
5. At 6:00 AM, take the second dose of the Plenvu prep by pouring Dose 2 Pouch A and Dose 2 Pouch B into the 16 ounce mixing cup. Fill with 16oz of water and drink over the next 30 minutes. You must drink one additional 16-ounce portion of water in the 30 minutes after you take the second dose of the Plenvu liquid.
6. Starting 6 hours before your procedure, do not eat, drink, or take anything by mouth, including liquids, except for the Plenvu at 6 AM as described in Step 5, above.

Visicol Prep
Pre-operative Instructions for Colonoscopy and Surgical Procedures
DAY BEFORE EXAMINATION
1. Drink only “clear liquids” for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (Solid foods, milk or milk products are not allowed). Clear liquids include:
*Strained Fruit juices without pulp (Apple, White grape, Lemonade, etc)
*Water
*Clear broth or bouillon
*Coffee or tea (without milk or creamer)
*Gatorade
*Carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks
*Kool Aid (or other fruit flavored drinks)
*Plain Jello (without added fruits or toppings)
*Ice popsicles
AVOID DRINKS THAT ARE RED OR PURPLE IN COLOR
2. Starting at 5:00 PM the evening before your procedure, take four VISICOL tablets with at least 8 oz of clear liquid every fifteen minutes for a total of five doses (20 pills). You will have taken twenty (20) pills and five 8 oz drinks of clear liquid over 1 1/4 hours.
3. If your procedure is in the morning, then starting at 9:00 PM the evening before your procedure, take four VISICOL tablets with at least 8 oz of clear liquid every fifteen minutes for a total of two doses (8 pills). If your procedure is in the afternoon, then starting 6 hours before your procedure, take four (4) pills with 8 ozs. Of clear liquid every fifteen minutes for a total of two doses (8 pills).
4. Take 4 (four) Dulcolax pills fifteen minutes after your last dose of Visicol.
DAY OF EXAMINATION
5. Starting 6 hours before your procedure, do not eat, drink, or take anything by mouth, including liquids.
